How to Build Your Self-Esteem
I am going to start this by giving a brief definitions of self-esteem -
Smith and Mackie define it by saying "The self-concept is what we think about the self; self-esteem, is the positive or negative evaluations of the self, as in how we feel about it.
Self-esteem is also known as the evaluative dimension of the self that includes feelings of worthiness, prides and discouragement.
Self-esteem is a disposition that a person has which represents their judgments of their own worthiness.
Now how do you view yourself as a person, when you stand in front of the mirror? Do you see failure or success. The way you view yourself is how others will view you too.
Stop using negative and derogative words on yourself
Stop seeing yourself as a failure and never do well. Always believe in yourself.
Every day before you step out of your house look your self at the mirror and say some positive words to yourself.
When you are among people don't be shy to contribute to discussions and also give your opinions about issues.
Walk tall and overcome negative comments from people. Don't let the negative things people say about you affect your life.
Accept positive criticisms from people and be willing to make a change. Those criticisms you know will bring a positive change in your life should be embraced.
That is about it for today, so go out there and live your life to the fullest.
