Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my website sidebar navigation. This is bad and could affect my ranking. The problem is that my pages on the sidebar "legitimate online
I;m sorry I didn't add the link to my website. Please here is the link.http://affiliatesonlinetraining.com/
I actually used a custom menu at the sidebar. Thank you.
Naturally, that is how the website is designed. It shouldn't affect the rankings at all. I know exactly what you talking about. Does that make sense?
We'll need a lot more information before we can help. Is this a menu in your sidebar? Which widget did you use? What theme are you using? How did the links get there in the first place? ~Marion
Hey Man, may you give us the link to this page. I Don't really get whta the problem is.

I need help with my website sidebar navigation?
Hi everyone,

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
1) It looks like you have a Categories widget which you have named 'Legitimate Online Opportunities'.
2) You have given your categories the same name as your post titles.
If these assumptions are correct then it's working exactly as it's supposed to work. When someone clicks on a category it shows all the posts in that category as excerpts. Because you only have one post in each category it can only show the excerpt of that one post.
Explanation:
A category is a group of posts on the same subject. So your main category would be 'Legitimate Online Opportunities'. Other categories may include 'Scams' or any other subjects you choose. Your post title should not be a category.
I hope this helps,
Marion
Thank you Marion!
Please does it mean I should change the category so that they can link directly to the post?
You can put your posts into a menu so that people can access them with one click. Type 'menu' into the question bar at the top of this page for training on adding custom menus.

Please I have submitted my sitemap on web master tool for the past 2 weeks, and still no data is showing on my account, even though my site map is verified. Should i be concerne
Hey Douglas,
Did you build your sitemap and submit your Website through your Google XLM-Sitemap plugin?
That's how I did it. and then I took the URL that was provided to me and placed it in my footer menu. If you've done this you'll have an URL like this: (Your Domain Address/sitemap.xml).
I looked for your sitemap on both of your sites and did not see it. I placed my sitemap on the footer of my website: http://starvingmillionaire.com.
Your sites look great by the way
Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much Keith! I appreciate this. I did submit my sitemap through google XML sitemap plugin and was verified. I will try and put my urls at the footer of my sites and see what happens.

Hi, I'm very curious about this pinging and backlink stuff, are they necessary for traffic purposes, should I ping my blogs and request for back links? Please your feedback will
Hi Douglas,
Because of the movement of HTML Static websites to WordPress and other Formats, pinging has become the activity of the past. It was a black hat strategy back in the day and was considered spamming the engines.
This is why WordPress CMS (Control Management System) became very popular because Wordpress made it easier by pinging automatically to Ping-0-Matic.
In fact, it would get ranked much faster than the old HTML static Website. By the way, your site gets pinged each and every time you edit your page.
Before, it was all done manually and it didn't take very long to get your HTML site ranked.
WordPress wasn't even consider a Website at that time. It was designed for Writers. The word "Blog" is a contraction word for "Web Log" or "Website Log".
It wasn't very long ago when WordPress started adding features to make your "Blog" look more like a website by adding static home pages to the already popular features such as Recent Posts, Comments, Categories, Tags, Blogrolls etc...Heck, you don't even see blogrolls anymore.
Having a blogroll was part of the ranking system. But it was removed about three years ago. I don't know why but I really did like having one on my site.
I still like to place a blogroll on my site even though I know that it will not help my ranking. There is a plugin if you still want to put a blogroll on your sidebar.
It is no longer necessary to ping because Wordpress does it automatically and you're going to get ranked anyway.
I would keep what you have on default, but since I know that you're going to be getting some opinions that you should ping--and so, I'm including a list from Magistudios of sites that you can ping your site to. Jay's Magical Ping List for Wordpress Keep up the good work!

Thank you so Keith for the insight. I really appreciate it. If wordpress does automatic pinging it means it is not necessary for me to do it again. I was a little bit worried about it. Thank you so much!
I use to do that in the past, but so far I haven't heard Kyle mention it in the training. Maybe with authority sites that we are building, pinging may not be that important.
As far as backlinks, there are lots of training about that, just type backlinking in the question bar and you would see some awesome training. Digg and Reddit are some of them. Hope that helps.
