My experience thus far

So far things have been progressing nicely. I was skeptical at first. I wasn't sure if WA was going to be worth the monthly fees or if it was something I should even invest money I didn't have. I'm feeling much better about that decision now. My site is growing and I am growing more confident that it will do well as time goes by.
The site I created is http://escapeintoabook.com. It is a site to get updates on Science Fiction and Fantasy novels and current and upcoming film adaptations. I'm fairly certain that the traffic I have had is 99% from WA members, but I'm sure as my google ranking improves that will change. The main success I have had is making $0.01 from adsense.
Within the next three months I plan on having enough content on my site so that it doesn't look like a startup. I plan on having a following, or mailing list so that I get return business to my site.
In Six months I plan on having an income. I want to be able to pay for my WA fees myself and not have to borrow from family. I want this to work.
