Planning and staying ahead of the game
So as I said in an earlier post, I'm using one of my (several) primary interests as my first niche. Headphones. Now I've never really had a blog and my websites have been..let's just say, not up to par with the millions of other websites out there. But I won't let that stop me, Wealthy Affiliate has given me a whole new look on things, and I'm going to share with you my way of working, hoping that it may be of help to those who are stuck or have a hard time executing a plan.
Time. Time is vital. I don't have a family to support, I have bills and dept like anyone else but I also have a lot of spare time. Still. It's not every day I can muster the energy to work on this project where I'm learning the ropes, as I am an eccentric musician and composer some days, and other days just a writer. Or just a guy looking to have a chat with some likeminded friendly and inspiring folks. That means you guys. I always find the time to do that, as it is fun and important to me.
Today I was installing new equipment in my home studio, a MIDI router and an old Akai sampler. Now this means I had to pull out all cables, rearrange them, put in new cables and make room for the said new (second hand) equipment. This took a while. Then I had to boot up my computer and recable my software, so the right signal went to it's specific port.
I'm not gonna elaborate any more, let's just say it took me some hours to get things right and audition my new system. And before I knew it, the day was almost over. But what about
my progress at WA? Sure I have thought about it, but I haven't really done any writing or research today..
Well. I sat here for a while, tired and almost a little angsty. Feeling that I've lost my momentum. Logged on WA, and wow. There was enough encouragement and inspirational stories to fill my gas tank, and then some. By reading about people here, and how they turned their lives around just because they found this system of doing things, and finding almost immediate success! With no experience in the field! Glory! I want a piece of THAT cake, so I sat down and started writing blog posts on my not yet existing website. I'm thinking that if I have a good bulk of text ready, it will relieve some of that inner stress I often accumulate while trying to decide specific details in my page structure and design. "What am I going to put here, I don't know how this is gonna look, am I going to have to start over?" No. I have my text right here. In this folder, on my laptop. No worries. I found a niche, something I know a thing or two about. Flavor it with some language I've picked up from other blogs, even the blogs here at WA.
So don't stress out, if you're stuck on something - do something else. There's always something to do, fix, say, think. Give that little extra one day, and maybe you'll find the time to let yourself rest tomorrow, knowing that you did what felt right. Always plan ahead, even if you're impulsive like me. Use that impulse today, put it in your work tomorrow - and have a rest on day three, letting the ideas come to you like a moth to a flame. It's why you're here.

Good words of encouragement. I often find myself with the same sense of ennui after a long day spent working and fulfilling other responsibilities. We just have to keep working at it and try not to be discouraged by inevitable downtime because it can actually be quite beneficial to the creative process. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks Chrissie, I'm taking a pretty long break now - but traffic is building and I should sit down and write a post soon. So thanks yourself for encouraging words!
