Who to Affiliate With?
My niche... Benefits of Babywearing
I have a page of products... where I listed my top 10 Baby Carriers/Wraps/Slings. Meaning different brands and types. Amazon, Babies R Us, and Target are the only places I can think of that I could give the customer a one stop shop. However, the commission rates are very low.
I'm finding if I go straight through the dealer the commission rates are higher, as well as the cost of the product, and I would be using at least 10 different affiliates within one page.
Should I... go with the lower commission but offers more of a one stop shop for customers type affiliate, or affiliate with each brand of wrap/carrier I choose?

It's actually possible to do both. You are not allowed to display prices, but you can put 2 buttons/links on the page that say
[ Buy via Amazon ] [ Buy from Graco ] [ Buy from Walmart ]
This way, you get the benefit of possible sales of other products through Amazon or Walmart, but for those who do order from the main supplier, you get the better commission.
Where Amazon makes up for its lower commission is in the residual sales using cookies. I sold some shampoo today. I don't sell shampoo, but someone clicked a book link, bought some shampoo, and I earned the commission.
That makes perfect sense! Thank you. I will definitely go that route. I had already thought about the possibilities of people clicking to say amazon through my site and not purchase a baby carrier at that time but could end up buying other items necessary.
Much thanks,
