Can you make an income writing from the heart?
Is it possible to write from the heart and create an income?
Perhaps this blog post will be able to put my thoughts in order, and maybe some of you have some insights that will help.
I try to write from experience as much as I can, as I find this gives my articles more life. Still there are times I just want to share what's in my heart, like when I go for a walk and I'm filled with inspiration to write something that rarely has to do with keywords. Sometimes it's not even related to the topic of my site. It's what moves me in that moment.
I have a personal blog that I feel more eager to share than my site, mostly because I truly write from the heart in that one. I share all that I am. I'm also aware that I'm drawn to sites where the author shares of themselves openly, but how to make an income of that through affiliate marketing?
I'm tempted to let go, to write whatever I feel without rules and restrictions. Where would that take me?
I'm confusing myself.

I have a portfolio site a blog where I write the day to day stuff only adding affiliate stuff when appropriate and websites where I add affiliate but they are things I am interested in so add in all the personal stuff to the blog section etc. I find this really works and earns you an income that you are proud of. Authentic and true. Best wishes
This is actually exactly what WA is recommending: write about stuff your passionate about. However I wouldn't just pick random topics and try to focus on something (a niche) instead.

Thank you for your comments. I like what you're doing art tech, it makes a lot of sense. Do you write a lot of posts using keywords? Do you have a section of your site where you promote certain things, like a shop or something?
Definitely, if you are interested in certain products and can recommend them and then visitors have an interest to go look on your recommendation so if you have the affiliate link with that product you earn the commission when they buy. Just by you doing and sharing.
