"Highlight and copy the HTML below, then paste it into the code for your Web site". Practically what does this mean? Put my website in fornt of the code? I need an example

It means you should copy the html code, then go to your website's WP back office dashboard, click post or page on WP dashboard, click edit page/post to add the link. When you're in the editor, choose the Text option beside Visual, choose a section of the content, paste your Amazon link there and you're good to go.

You can always copy and paste it to the sidebar on the widget option on the WP dashboard.

YES! Thank you. That is exactly what I meant. Thank you. Great help there!

Are you talking about Amazon OneLink? If yes, please follow the URL below :)

How long does it take to get to the Google indexing, and what was the turning point?

So I am 6 months into a new site, and I am not getting any traffic from the search engines at all. How long does that take to happen, when is a site considered old, or at least not new?

I have followed everything taught here and basically have got nothing out of it, I am confused at this point.

Hey Brendon,

It really does depend on your niche and the quality of the content in a website.

Having said that, here's a video that may offer you some insight on this topic:

Thanks for the video. I guess it just seems a bit frusrating. But that helped!
brnedon

I havent reached that point. However, I'll be mindful of this once I get there. Thanks for bringing it up.

Good question Kjertzi. I haven't gotten that far, and this will be useful information as I continue building my site.

There are so many variables to being indexed. But, mostly, Google takes its own sweet time!!! Be patient...

Thanks... I have been trying to determine myself so your question is well timed. jay

Did you use the sear console? Usually google is about a few days behind

Hope the link help you. Mine was 3-4 after pasting google analytics ID.

Thanks, that's great info!

According to the Kyle's video, he mentioned it can take about 7 to 14 days for Google to index your website. He also indicated it can sometime take longer but not to worry because it will eventually get indexed.

Deborah :-)

My first site took about 7 days, my second site took 13 days.

Maybe take a look at Roberts training on speeding up the process through Google Console.

It depends on how young/new your website is. If it is a new website, like less than a couple of months old, it could take a few days maybe even a week.

Hi Boomergp08,

Do you think it is because they are verifying your content?

Google just doesn't do things quickly with newer websites probably for a bunch of reasons.

Ok, Thanks Boomergp08!
