Hello -

I was just wondering if it is necessary, or even a good idea, to create your content and save it to your computer, and then transfer it to Wordpress. I'm thinking

I sometimes use Notepad and sometimes just save a draft I am working on in WP. Regarding a catastrophe, back up your WP site very week or so. Take a look at Kyle's vid - http://goo.gl/YshpIM

To back up or not, is unfortunately not an option with today's internet world.

Kim…I have a word document on my desktop called WA Diary. I create my blogs, articles, etc. on that document, then cut/paste it to where I want it. This gives me a diary-like timeline because I put dates above when I wrote it. Hope this gives you another option.

Thanks Michael! That's a great idea - everything in one place. I think I'll give that a try!

A great question. I have no idea about this. Must do some research.

Beverley answers below - she never creates content directly in wordpress. Better to have a backup of your content!

Good Q. I was thinking about also........thanks!

Hi Kim
I never create my content directly in wordpress. I then always pass it through a text editor like Notepad to make sure it is clear of any code before putting it in wordpress.

Beverley

Thank you Beverley! I had a gut feeling - thanks for the confirmation! Kim
