I'm close to the 3 month mark here at Wealthy Affiliate and I've made some progress I never thought possible before. I am sharing with you the fruits of my labors.

Created My First Website!

With the help of the comprehensive training offered here, I was able to create a website for myself. Before starting down this journey, I thought web creation was hard and tedious and expensive. I was shown not only is it pretty cheap, but also crazy easy with the right help.

Got My Niche Up and Runnin'

I had actually been in the business of t-shirt design before coming here, but it wasn't making anything for me. I had no idea how to market it, my designs weren't the greatest, nor was I in the position to pay for a bunch of designs to be made for me. However, with the website, came a new avenue to work in my chosen niche. It's easier to talk and share knowledge/experience about my niche than to sell t-shirts about it. I am so glad I could go this route.

Learned What Affiliate Marketing REALLY Is.

When I was younger, I had joined an "affiliate marketing" program before. Unbeknowst to me, however, it was more of a pyramid scheme than affiliate marketing. It still had the potential to be good, but the way we were training to promote it was more neferious than good. Through my training here, I have been exposed to what REAL affiliate marketing looks like, and I will never get tricked again.

Got Questions Answered!

Starting out in the business world is hard and you got nothing to go on at first. Even with this world wide web we have, you're just as likely to run into scams as you are actual treasure troves--more so, even. It took me about 14 different plans to try out before I found my way here. I gave up searching for a way to become self-employed many more times than that. However, I always found a way to say "I need this more than I don't. I have to find a way" and I'm glad I didn't stop because I finally got questions answered! This community is so supportive that I know as soon as I ask a question, it will be answered almost immediately. Finally.

I Am Learning More About Myself

My niche is spiritual wellness and self-help. I chose this niche because I practice an internal style of kung fu known as Baguazhang (its like tai chi but we walk in circles instead of stay in one place). Baguazhang has meditation elements and I do practice meditation and qigong along with this art. I figured I'd do a niche about something I'm already devoting time ot gaining knowledge on since I could kill two birds with one stone.

Running my website inspires me to practice more so that I can understand more about these arts and be able to answer questions my own audience may have. It helps me to become more inquisitive and insightful about my own practice as well as others.

I am able to confidently say I am a writer now. I started working on books a couple of years back, and haven't completed them so saying I was a writer made me feel... Dishonest. I know I have the capability to write professionally now, and it feels me with aspiration to move foreward with my books now more than ever.

I am also learning that I am just plain and simple capable. Capable to make my dreams come true and capable to do whatever I want to do in my life. I may not have great finances right now or superb expertise but I know I have a way to get there, and that is good enough for me to keep moving.

I've Posted About 13 Blog Articles On My Site

It take a while and a lot of research and work and staying up a little bit to get this blogs cranked out, but I'm doing it. It's not as easy as I thought, but also not so challenging that I think it impossible. It's becoming a habit to think of new articles to write about and new topics to cover. I am able to delve deeper into certain things, offer tips, or write about something new all together. I love the freedom of choice.

This Program Has Peaked My Motivation

I am actually motivated to get up in the morning and work. I don't have the drag of "I hate work.I wish I could do nothing." Don't get me wrong; its still work. But it is work I don't mind at all. I like that a lot.

I Made My First Dollar

It took a while to set it all up, but through Google Adsense, I made my first dollar and it is glorious. No, it can't really buy me anything, not even a cup of coffee. But it is the first in many more dollars to help me become financially independant of working for someone other than myself.

And Lastly... I'm Helping People

Not only am I helping people through my site and blog and social media posts... I'm helping everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate. Posting comments and giving site reviews really let me see what this community is all about. When I first joined, I would have been happy to not speak to anyone. Just do my own thing and make my own presence. But, through the somewhat mandatory site reviews and site comments, it broke me out of my shell a bit. I was able to see how coorperative everyone here is. How ready everyone is to help, and just how much I could help others with my own experience.

I get to see people take the journey with me, see them start the journey as I did, and I get to see the people who have been on the journey for much longer and the fruits it has bared for them. I get to help others along the way and I get tips from those who have long passed my point in the path. It's all a very welcoming, warm and comforting experience to know that I help people just like me receive a goal they are striving to achieve and that couldn't make me happier.

This isn't the end of my success, but I thought I should share what I have gotten from this so far. Thank you so much everyone for helping me get here, and thank you to the creators of WA for starting this great thing.
