You guys know what Fiverr is right? So that means you've asked: "Is Fiverr a scam?". Well its complicated. There's no simple answer to that question. You can find some pretty good bargains on there, but there's also the off chance you'll find things that make you feel like:

Yeah. Pretty sucky . But let's be honest. Did you really expect to get top quality when you pay $5 for a 100 page e-book on the history of physics? So that brings me to the #4 Top Reason Fiverr is a Scam.

4. People go to Fiverr with completely unrealistic expectations.
The idea of Fiverr is simple. Get small tasks done for $5. SMALL tasks. Such as a 500-700 word articles, small logos, or a few online ads posted. NOT a complete redesign of your e-commerce website, a 1000+ word article on nuclear fusion, or a studio quality music video for your budding music career. If that's what you're looking for, go to Elance or hire a professional, but don't expect to get a masterpiece for $5.
3. Anyone can sign up to be a seller.
Fiverr lets everybody and their mother sign up and sell their product. They don't test your skills or verify that your service is of good quality. Granted there is a rating system and you can leave bad feedback when the product you receive isn't up to par, but for new sellers with 0 ratings or feedback its a gamble when purchasing their gigs.
