Mini-devotion for Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, 3 John 11, KJV, "Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God." In what direction are we heading as we head into the future? Whom or what are we following? This verse tells us to follow those things that are good. If we are of God, we should be about the task of doing good and godly things. We are told that if we do evil we have not seen God. On the other hand, if we are not following, we are leading. If we are leading, where are we leading those who are following us? If we are following, we need to be heading in the direction of Jesus. If we are leading, we need to be leading others in the direction of Jesus. As we walk through life today, in which direction are we heading?
