Question for those who have already become WEALTHY.
To anyone who is extremely successful, I have a question for you. When you got bombarded with tasks early in your career did you work until the tasks were done or did you go to bed at a specific time regardless of what was left to do?
I ask because staying up until 6 am some days to finish work is really messing up my sleep schedule and I'm starting to feel pretty drained. The routines I wanted to set in place all but disappear. I do keep a to do list daily which I tackle but the sleep schedule thing is my concern.
I try to do the most challenging things early in the day but sometimes I work on various things 18hrs straight with only a few minutes in between to eat. I know some Billionaires like Elon Musk say out work everyone else & work over 100 hours a week which I pretty much do already, but I want the time I spend on work to be as productive as possible.
I might get into a flow state at midnight and work on something till 6 am like I just stated. That task might be done well but then my following day suffers and I get insomnia when I try to sleep on time.
How did you face this challenge if you ever faced it?
Did you just keep working non-stop?
Did you cut yourself off from working past a certain time?
I want to know what you did before you became a millionaire. Not after.
If anyone replies with sincere useful information then thank you!

Hey bro - not that wealthy yet (have earned fairly offline) - working/success routine is very important (ie identifying marathons versus sprints and habits that work in your favor).
It's a long term game so I prefer to use sustainable habits and systems to progress income, earnings etc - so create a routine and system that works for you. For some, it could be daily 2 hours weekdays and 4 hours weekdays. For some it may be sprints of 10 hours x 2 days a week.
Find what works for you and do more of that and decrease what doesnt.
Spending the majority of your time on your business has repercussions. It might propel your business faster but there could be adverse impacts on your health, your relationships and being able to properly carry out other commitments in your life. It's a choice you have to make. You have to ask yourself is the sacrifice worth it? You have to find a balance that works best for you. There is no one size fits all. You will know it when you get into your groove.
Hugh
The sacrifice will be worth it. I just want to ensure my time is most productive and I'm not sure if having a set schedule will hurt or help me because I have various commitments right now.
Thank you Hugh
For years I survived on about four hours sleep a night with power naps, or more like lie on the floor and sleep when exhausted.
Not sure how I made it though to be honest. Eighteen hour days seem so abstract but at times the norm.
We are not designed to work hard out or with intensity for long periods.
To be sustainable we all need to strive to create a balance, to be honest it is critical.
Currently I see many in the online space overworking and overcomiting. From observation over the years it ends badly.
You are thinking about it Kevin so you have concerns, are you in a heated rush or are you in it for the long haul?
I think the best thing we can do is to discover our rhythm, and do what we can to enhance it.
Makes for a more pleasurable and sustainable journey. Knowing when to go hard out and knowing when to pull back can be the key and I guess we learn that from experience and on the job training. Be careful, the drop out and drop off rate is massive. Look at the WA community.
I'm in a rush because I have a massive opportunity right now so failure is not an option. However, I am also in it for the long haul. I probably will stretch myself the next few months but enjoy the journey as much as possible.
Hi Kevin
First, I must say that I'm not yet a millionaire but I can try to answer your questions
When we all started we were all overwhelmed with all the training, tasks, personal goals and achievements that we sometimes set ourselves
We do want to make positive progress. We do want to become financially successful and achieve the freedom that we deserve.
It is awesome that your work.ethic is excellent. But it should not be so rigid as to be disturbing your sleep patterns.
Your health is the most important part of this challenging but exciting process. You are no good to anyone if you're unwell.
I do understand your desire to do it all because like you, I also have some personal achievements to make and monitor
You need to have a positive balance to be able to continue this process. Kyle and Carson, will tell you that they also took a breather here and there to make things work in their favour
You can only become productive with a positive work balance! There is no other way.
Stop and reflect on your activity. You already stated that you are working 100 hours weekly.
How is that working for you?
Try and incorporate some other things that will make it more productive without killing yourself.
I find that timing myself for each activity on my checklist works for me.
Putting in built in breaks as well is very positive as it allows you to step.away for a bit and return most times with fresh ideas
I hope you will reflect, take notes and refocus on how you will make your day productive without going overboard.
Don't forget Rome wasn't built in a day.
This challenging but exciting journey is indeed a marathon and not a sprint!
