I was checking my google analytics this morning and yesterday my total session number was 228 and today it is 206. How is this possible?
Same problem. My sessions dropped from over 300 to almost nothing in the past few days! I can't figure it out. My website also reset in some ways. The top banner went back to the original banner and the widgets on the side all disappeared. I got an email about a week ago saying my Wordpress was running an old version but everything is up to date as far as I can see. So confusing!?
I think that sessions do vary often. I am not sure why your website reset unless your theme updated or there was an update to word press since your last visit.
The sessions went completely to zero. Something is definitely wrong. Wish I could figure it out!
I don't think there's much SiteSupport can do when it comes to Google Analytics.
But there are 3 different related categories: Total sessions, Users, New users. Did you by chance look at the wrong category from yesterday?
No I was looking at the correct number because I remember it being 228 for a few days and then today it's like 20 sessions just didn't happen lol
Sorry I may be missing the question.
Are you looking at the same exact date or time frame in Google Analytics?
U may send your problem to sitesupport via email, the mail symbol beside the pen, they are better person I think

Why did my session go down in analytics?
I was checking my google analytics this morning and yesterday my total session number was 228 and today it is 206. How is this possible?
You can expect your sessions to go up and down on a daily basis with Google. Here's a link from google that explains what sessions are and how they work. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2731565
You actually do not want your sessions to be consistent on a daily basis because that would be a sign of some sort of automated process generating traffic for your site. Having a drop of only 22 sessions in a day is perfectly okay. If it keeps doing that, and does not go back up, that's when you should worry.

I was contacted by one of my buddies to build a website for his brick and mortar business. I have built 2 blog focused websites, but he needs an ecommerce store for his product

Yeah I believe my problem is already fixed. They said it was a theme issue probably so I switched themes and believe it is fine now. And I'll inbox you I'm always looking for new knowledge.
May be the same problem I had. I had a firewall plugin that blocked all comments. Check your plugins and disable any firewall or anything like that, All in ONe SEO takes care of firewall automatically
I did too, but I also had a firewall plugin that I had installed on accident. That's what blocked comments on my site. Could be something else though, best wishes

Need comment help asap! wp not allowing comments?

I searched a term in the WA keyword tool and Jaaxy and it had over 8000 searches (they had the same exact results) but when I put it in Google's keyword planner it only had 170
