Add affiliate networks and links
So i am feeling lazy and do not want to work on my websites and i have been looking at al the questions on WA.
A lot of folks want to know about affiliate networks, links, etc.
I will just be honest wtih you until your website starts getting traffic you do not need to worry about it.
You will not make a dime without traffic.
You can do it if you want or learn about it but my advice is focus on your content and work on getting traffic.
Of course always do what WA says and learn about everythiing do something if they recommend it.
But because i do not like blogging and writing i focus on services and promoting products. I also like all the technical boring stuff from start to finish so i signed up for amazon and put links on my site. Although there is no reason for that site because it has 0 traffic.
My two cents

It is a so good advice!
The affiliate link will only be a
decoration on our site if we don't
generate traffic. So good content, good content and good content!!
Thanks for your nice advice!

I do disagree a bit, Kevin, and not just because I work for a network. I also advise bloggers to apply once they have enough pages on their sites (I suggest 10-12) to show networks what their sites will be like, then apply to the right merchant programs and start adding links. That way you won't have to go back and add them later.
You also don't need a lot of traffic to be successful - instead you need engaged traffic. A little engaged traffic is better than a lot of uninvolved traffic.
You're right on point, Kevin. The most important thing is to focus on content.
But I would still put affiliate links into my articles because believe me when I say that it is hard to go into your existing articles again when you have 50 or 100 of them, to then input affiliate links.
You never know when you'll start getting traffic and you could make a sale. So don't leave money on the table.
But don't expect to make sales in a few days. That's the only thing.
Thanks for sharing though, Kevin.. :)
So, Kevin, if we are understanding what you are saying, what was the point in signing up with Amazon if you have no traffic? They will shut you down if you don't get three sales in six months. Just not sure where you are going with this post.

I have come to the same conclusion and am not going to pursue any more affiliate links until my traffic is coming.
Trying some different traffic sharing places, and focusing on creating content that continues to rank well on Google.
Patience is the most difficult thing to master and it is getting tested, but your advice is sound and worth listening too!
Thanks for the post!
Thanks for a piece of wise advice, Kevin!
