Google Adsense approval
Hi all, I have been unapproved three times now for my Google Adsense on my site. I don't see where I am going wrong. Would you all be kind enough to have a look at my site and maybe give me some advice. Have read up on here of others having the same problems but no solutions mentioned.
Been onto Google Adsense site read through all the policies and am clearly still missing something...... This is a huge part of the program and without it, do I even bother continuing?
Please can someone assist me :)
Thanks a mil in advance.

I was not approved and I turned my mind to other things to do. One fine day I will focus on that
I am the other way. I was approved right away, added to my site then couldn't stand all the ads running through my blogs, etc. and felt if I hated it, then surely my readers would too! I don't even know if I still have approved status. If I could control the ads and only have them in one place, that would make me happy. Sorry I can't offer you any reason why you haven't been approved.
Of course you can control the ads! You can either activate Auto ads which means they put the ads wherever they like or you add code in exactly where you want an ad to show and which size etc :)
Hi Kerry, I was unapproved a number if times until I was able to fulfill their requirements.
Few tips to know are;
- have a minimum of 10 posts in your sitesite
- aviod putting any unauthorised adverts on your site
- your site MUST have good, clear and easy navigation routes
- ensure all images in your site are free images or licenced image which you paid for.
- pay good attention to reasons why you were unapproved and try to resolve those issues.
You will definitely get approved once you've resolve their concerns.
Goodluck
Peter.
I have not made the cut yet either, it is frustrating but from what I read you really don't make that much.
So in the meanwhile, just keep plodding on focusing on affiliates I guess. Very few and far between of them in Zimbabwe let alone South Africa which are my main markets.... anyway, onwards and upwards
Kerry I am in South Africa but I target USA traffic, do you know how to do that? It is great for making Amazon sales :) Yes you are right SA sucks when it comes to affiliate programs. If Takealot just had an affiliate program it would be so easy! How To Change Your Targeted Country For Organic Traffic Using Google Webmaster Tools
Brilliant Lynne as I have surfed and surfed for aff programs that would suit my site to no avail. I will read the above and get cracking as this is my main problem at the moment. Been at it since Nov and haven't made a penny yet :( In time 'm sure, well I hope!!! ha ha ha
I'm earning full time from my blogs, so keep at it. You can so do it. The nicest affiliate program I have come across in SA is Mantality but that is for men's products LOL. I am an affiliate and I've made some sales on my mommy blog promoting mens gifts for father's day etc but I couldn't survive on that.
Change your targeted traffic, start focusing on US and then after you have some traffic to your website apply to be an Amazon affiliate. It works.
Yip I also have Mantality more for my beachwear section, but not even a hit. Wouldn't even know how one makes money on Blogs as I'm still going through the training, but will do as your video showed and hopefully things will improve from there :) Thanks ever so much for you kind assistance.
Oh and also the conversion rate for SA online stores SUCKS! I have sometimes had literally thousands of clicks to some stores here and not one sale.... but when you target Amazon you get sales. Big time win.
Just checked as per your video and International targeting was set to USA. I don't know, I tried Amazon and it wouldn't let me before because of the country I am in, maybe Zim is not supported. Will give it another bash :)
Did you tick the country? It is shown as being on US but it is usually not ticked, you have to tick it and save it :)
I had to apply twice before I was approved. A senior member here told me that ad sense is not a big deal until you have lots of traffic. Moneywise at this stage of your development it would only be pennies you are earning anyway. Perhaps go back to just working on your website and building your traffic and periodically reapply until you are approved. Don’t get stuck on this though keep developing your site
I got disapproved by Google Adsense loads of times and I tried all my websites... multiple times. It was heart breaking, just keep on trying. When I posted here about my same frustrations I had lots of people say that they were also disapproved the first few times.
I know it is painful, but just keep adding new content and every time you get disapproved just knuckle down, wait a little bit and then apply again. It will come through eventually.
It's almost like they just reject accounts as a matter of course just because they can. And as I am sure you have noticed there is not way to ask them very specifically what they are not happy with.
Just keep at it. I have an approved account and I went through the same. I think it took me 7 or 8 times!
I noticed some things in your site that I didn't like. But maybe they are your preference. Am I correct?
First, the header image should be a long horizontal image and need not be a large square. At least, that's how most websites have in their header image. Long horizontal image.
Second, there are too many items on the side bar and less on the content area. Try invert it by putting a lot of items on the content area and less on the side bar.
As for the content, I think you have substantial content. It's just that, because of your weird way of arranging your site, perhaps the investigators at AdSense found your site weird in reference to standard layout of sites.
I hope these assessments help.
Thanks Coach, unfortunately it is theme I have chosen. Perhaps I need to play with a few more themes. I don't quite know, as far as I can tell there is ample content in the middle, and as for the top square its the theme. I will play around a little and see what changes i can make. Thanks for your input :)
I see your site is filled with content, so it is not the reason why Google Adsense is denying your application. Why not reapply again?
I did again yesterday.... I don't know if there is a way of asking them to explain what the problem is.:(

I was rejected twice initially, then I gave it a break and focussed on building my website instead. Put out more posts, tried other ad programs, used amazon native ads as an alternative, added widgets to my side bar, then resubmitted my request to join Adsense 4 month’s later and was approved! I don’t think I changed anything to ‘fix’ the policies I was apparently breaching but just left it alone for some months.
Try not to let it worry you as there are alternative ways to monetise you site.
All the best
