Good ways saving money
Hello smart shoppers, I'm here with another article where I will talk about good ways of saving money. We all do mistakes in our lives regarding wasting our money without even realizing it.
I would love to mention, that any of these tips on their own don't save you noticeable amount of money until you don't combine them together and stick to a plan. These tips are going to serve you with powerful tool for saving money.
Let's get in , this are my 10 good tips on saving money.
1. Change bank accounts
Very often happen that you’re paying a monthly fee for your checking, savings account or even current account. Do you think that you would benefit from researching some other banking offers out there? Some banks even offer you a money if you transfer your current account into their bank. The rewards can vary from £100 to £250.
2. Sign up for every free reward program
There are plenty of retailers out there, who will happily reward you for shopping at their store. Search for merchants giving away their free reward cards and start to use them in your favor. Even a small amount saved might make a difference in the long run. Imagine you have more of these card accepted at store you shop the most. How much would you save a year?
3. Don’t spend a lot of money entertaining your children.
We all see most of the kids in big cities walking around with tablets and IPhone in their hands. Realize that the kind does want you stuff, what they really want is your time with them. Head to the park, play in the backyard or tech them how to ride a bike without training wheels. I'm sure you will find a better relationship between you and your loved children, but also money in your pocket.
4. Stop using credit cards
If you tend to spend over limit with your credit cards, keep them at home at all times. Not in your wallet! Have it for the case of emergencies. But don't carry it with you everywhere. The best thing is to get out of dept and rather try to save some money. So keep this card out wallet, out of mind.
5. Try generic brands of items you normally buy
Instead of just picking up the brand you always buy at the shop, try the store brand version. Sometimes these products are even better than the one we usually buy. This might save you a cents now, but if you find more store brand products you like, you will notice the grocery bill is getting cheaper and cheaper. In many cases, the only difference between these two is marketing, colorful packaging, which I'm not willing to pay more.
6. Prepare meals at home.
If you can cook yourself, get some easy to follow cookbook and just try to master that hidden chef inside you. Obviously it's a bit time-consuming but more rewarding when you managed to cook something absolutely delicious. Your family will appreciate it a lot more. Maybe try to cook a bit more and have a meal ready for tomorrow. This way you save time too as you don't need to cook the following day.
7. 15-seconda rule
These one applies more to online shopping, meantime you add something into your card or you are already at check out, try to think for 15 seconds why you buy this product. Do you really need it? Or is it just another piece a crap you will use no more than twice. You will notice how many purchases would you have made without thinking for few seconds.
8. Try to fix things yourself
I remember when it used to be a lot more difficult to fix things yourself. But today there are so many tutorials out there that show you how to fix almost anything. If you are a bit handy, you can even fix things like phone, which might cost you at store lets say £50.
9. Cut your own hair
This one is for the men. If you have a simple hairstyle, it's very easy to cut your hair on your own. I did it million times and always happy with the results. At the beggining it might seem as impossible task, but after a few times you will get pretty confident moves. Plus 2 or 3 sessions will pay you off your clipper, and you get free haircuts. Recently I taught my girlfriend how to do it so easier job for me :)
10. Cancel channels you don’t watch
There are tons of people like me who subscribed for premium package, but after a while really watch it 2 or 3 times a month. Is it really worth paying? Rather, put the money in your pocket.
