My Journey so far at Wealthy Affiliate
My progress thus far
Ijoined Wealthy Affiliate in April 2017 after spending 3 months withthe Four Percent Group, 2 month as a premium member.
Idecided to leave the Four Percent Group because I realised that itwas not for me. I think people are getting very knowledgeable thesedays and they are not just going to click through an automatedprocess and buy my products just like that because I have asophisticated and automated process. May be for the gurus, that isfine!
My websites, what Ihave learned and successes
Ihave 3 websites now at WA, though only one, Growth Realm, is welldeveloped and there is still a lot of work to be done as I have notgot any subscriber or make money yet. I have two other websitesoutside WA which are beginning to generate subscribers. One of them have 23 subscribers. So, I am very happy about this though theprogress has been slow.
WhenI joined WA, I knew little or nothing about affiliate or Internetmarketing, though I could use WordPress. I can say that now I know alot about Internet and Affiliate marketing, though I would not saythat I am good at it yet, as I am still at the beginning stage. In addition, Ithink I am now better at using WordPress and can use any themewithout any problems.
Also, what I have learned from online business is that it is more customer-focused. It is a great skill that can be transferred to any other type of business.
A question I may have and challenges
I used to ask whether someone can really makemoney from affiliate marketing and still do sometimes when doubts tryto creep in. I know that it can be done because I have seen real lifeexamples here at WA. The challenge is staying focused andpersevering, especially when relatives, friends and even your spousedon’t understand and don’t want to understand what you are doingand you are not making money from it. They just think you are wastingyour time and that is the reason, I keep some of my friends very farfrom from me now in order to avoid discouragement.
My role model when it comes to business is JamesDyson. I remember when he started Dyson and many people wrote him off in a very competitive market dominated by the big brands. But hiscommitment, energy and perseverance have paid off. Today, he has become ahousehold name supplying all types of home appliances and evenleading the pioneering work for electric cars. So, I think any goodthing that will last needs patience. But I think the problem is thatin Internet business the so-called gurus claim to be making $10,000.00 a day so that people go into online business with this kind ofmindset. In physical or traditional business, it can take more than 4years to make a sale or profit, depending on the type of business.
My goals and plans in the next 3 -6 months
I listen to Earl Nightingale and Jim Rohn a lotand one particular philosophy I have learned from them is that youdon’t have to pursue success and opportunity, rather they followyou as a result of who you have become. So, in the next 3 – 6months, I hope to fully develop all my websites on WA. My goal is tohave 100 subscribers each and to do that my strategy is to increasethe level of service and value I provide to visitors through relevantand better contents that will help to solve more problems for them. If I can improve my service and become irreplaceable, ultimately success will come. This is going to be my focus!
