2022 - Breathing life into an old flame at WA.
It's amazing how we keep learning and growing as affiliate marketers at WA. I reminisced the day I started on my first website in the spiritual/wellness niche. Like many others, I hoped to make it big on my first attempt.
Little did I know, I was making every possible rookie mistake with the website.
- It lacks direction. I don't know who my target audience is. I was obsessed with 'profitable keywords' and started publishing non-related content.
- I lack finesse and style in my blog. This results in disjointed articles, which are difficult to read.
- I was overdependent on SEO. There's so much potential for YouTube and Pinterest marketing. Google tanking my traffic is a lesson well-learned.
- I failed to delegate. There are better writers in the niche. I should have learned how to get help from the pros.
6 years down the line, I've learned so much after building a couple more websites. I got better at content strategy, SEO, and copywriting.
While many people are starting a new one in 2022, I'll revisit this old flame of mine in WA and breathe new life into it.
Wish me luck.
P.S. - Let me know what you're working on in 2022.
Cheers,
Kenny

Hey Kenny
You have a way with words and had me at your title "breathing life into an old flame at WA" - clever title.
Thank you for your share. I think we all make the rookie mistakes, some more than others - I have tended to fall into the "more than others" category. The trick is to learn from the mistakes, I am still learning that too, lol!
Having always had a growth mindset (at least I believe it did) it has been hard for me to accept that changed for me.
I had eye challenges that necessitated surgery more than a year ago. The post-op recovery was slow and really set me back in my ability to work - everything online requires our vision. Not being able to see easily or focus online for long periods of time really impacted my mindset.
So now my focus is working on letting go of this fixed mindset I acquired and getting back to the "I can learn anything I cannot already do mindset" Also known as a growth mindset, which I'm sure you already know.:-)
Thank you for your very interesting article. I wish you every success with your 2022 growth and goals!
Blessings
Louise
Hi Louise,
I can empathize with what you went through. Last year I had a couple of minor surgeries and they were sort of wake-up calls on my priorities.
Growth is about getting out of our comfort zone and it can sometimes be painful. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Let's grow together in 2022.
Cheers,
Kenny
