Is ther an alternative to akismet as they are not free aymore?

I have one site that did the same thing and I have been looking for an alternative.
They tried to get money from me too even though I used the slider and set it to 0. I now use Anti-spam bee works well and I have now issues using this great plugin.
I created my two sites here as per the instructions in the lessons One to which I selected the slider to $0 as per instructions.
I still don't use and the other is the one I use to promote WA like most other people.
This I blog I did towards the beginning when I started.

And you will see this (view attached image) and choose the personal plan. Sign up and there should be a sliding bar where you can choose your own price. Slide it to zero and you should be all set. Or try this also

Hi Kenny. Like you, I have multiple sites and the API key is the same for all of them. Maybe you can copy and paste your API from one of your sites onto the next. All my accounts are free. I hope that helps.
me too - also used the same key on multiple sites without applying - hope this still works and we don't get pursued like some comments seem to suggest.
I just installed the API key few days ago... It is free... You have to search inside the website and shift the slider to 0 dollars. Hope it helps.
