Strike on my YouTube Channel

I got a strike on my YouTube channel today, and my video got deleted. The video was "How to Talk to Strangers," where I give 5 tips on how to gain confidence in talking to strangers. I was told that my video was deleted because my tags and description were "clickbaiting" the audience. If you don't know, this means that my meta data was dishonest and irrelevant to the content of my video.

This was my metadata:

"How to Talk to Strangers

In this video, I offer 5 tips on how to talk to strangers. When you have social anxiety, talking to people you don’t know can be nerve-wrecking. That’s why in this video, I give advice on how to build your confidence in these social situations.

Diary of a Socially Awkward, Kennedy Erin, Kennedy Trabold, Social Anxiety, Advice for Social Anxiety, How to Talk to Strangers, How to Interact with Strangers, Talking to Strangers, Interacting with Strangers, 5 Tips on How to Talk to Strangers, 5 Tips on How to Interact with Strangers, 5 Tips on Talking to Strangers, 5 Tips on Interacting with Strangers"

In the video, I give 5 tips on how to gain confidence in talking to strangers when you have social anxiety. My title, my thumbnail, my description, and my tags all reflect this subject matter.

I decided to appeal the decision to delete the video, and I'm proud that I did. Instead of accepting something that isn't justified or correct, I took a stand for myself and fought for something I believe in, which is the content of this video: offering advice on how to talk to strangers when you have social anxiety.

I don't have an update yet. If you're curious what the YouTube team decides to do with my video, just let me know.

But even if you don't touch YouTube with your online business, if a company or a website tells you that you've violated the terms of service when you in fact haven't, take action and fight for your position. People, and companies, make mistakes, but you and your business shouldn't have to suffer when someone else made a mistake that now affects you, especially if you did nothing wrong.

I agree that you have to fight for your rights. If it's a fight that you can win I would say go ahead, but if it is going to go against you anyway then I would not bother.

I hate to have to pay for the mistakes of others but life goes on.

I have to disagree. Even if it's a fight that you're not going to win, you should still fight if it's a cause you believe in.

But thank you for your insight!
