Today marks my first offical week at WA!
I'd like to say thank you for reading my personal blog here at Wealthy Affiliate. I put just as much time and effort into my blogs here as I do on my website.
I was feeling overwhelmed the past few days as I've noticed 1 problem I've been having, which is the amount of content my posts have. I spend around 1.5-2 hours on each post but I end up with fewer than 500 words. Perhaps I should spend more time on each post moving forward to maximize the effectiveness of each post.
I am excited and still optimistic, however. I've learned here at WA that to be successful, you must be in the business of helping people as opposed to just selling products. This is great news because I love helping others, even if it is for selfish reasons. I say selfish because I not only do it for the person I am helping, but for myself as well. It feels really good and makes me really happy to help another individual. One of my strongest beliefs is that it's better to give than to receive.
So far here is what I accomplished:
- picked a niche
- created a website
- got visitors
- created posts and added visuals
- joined amazon associates program
- posted affiliate links
- posted a personal product review with affiliate links.
So I am very happy with how far I've come in the past week. I believe that if I continue to invest the same amount of time into my new business, it will eventually reach many people who I can help and also turn a profit. I've invested over 20 hours in the past week. I wish I could have invested more, but I do still have a normal job I work at 40 hours a week.
Here's to many, many more fun hours to be spent building my website, helping people on that site as well as WA, and making my dreams come true!

Something else that I really agree with, is that so far, it is very educational, and that it has a feel of helping others, rather than just trying to make money. My true passion in life, like most people my age that don't have a lot of wisdom; I love helping people in any and every possible way that I can, which is another reson, I already like WA and its peoples!
