Using Theme FlatOn
I am having trouble figuring out what is happening with the Theme I chose. I tried to delete the post since I was not sure that it was actually a static page. I used the home landing test page blog post. I decided to copy the content and make it a page since I found a training on how to set up a page as a static page and put it as the home landing page. Since my site is live I did not leave it up. I copied it all back to a blog post since I got a weird thing going on. I did what it said and I went to settings and reading and set up the page as a static front page. I got a sales pitch for the FlatOn Theme. The image which was one of the reasons that I chose the Theme had multiple images and they were on a slide show. My work appeared under the images and a sales pitch for the team which was 4 people who built the FlatOn Theme. To get rid of this I had to trash the page and put it back into a blog post which by default is the landing page for the site.
Also I am having trouble finding this Theme. Is there a way to look it up? I have it on my desktop and unzipped it but how do I add this in to the selections to set up a new site if I can not find it in the themes as I have scrolled through them and I do not see it? I know that you can choose a theme and add it to favorites as I did this but not with this theme. I am not sure where I went to do this.
I really do not understand what is going on and how to use the images which are in the site as this is the only way I found them.
I have come to closure with this issue. I found out that with a free Theme such as the one I am using that the customization is very limited. I was not allowed to change the original post page as the Home page or landing page. When I did I found the images that originally had me choose this Theme. I am not sure how much else is hiding in this Theme that I will never be able to use since I have no idea how to get to it. But I will use this as a lesson on finding the documentation for any Theme I use in the future. Or this seems extreme as I think that I must simply figure out how to purchase a Theme that has all the customization that I think or know that I would like to be able to use. Then I would have justification for spending this much time on learning the Theme.

This was a good walk through of the editor. It had 2 items that were covered that I had not found through experimentation. It did tell me that the post is set default as the way most themes come.
I am however still confounded by what the Theme is doing. Why the heading pictures are only there and not available when I publish my content.

I have not tried the live chat yet. I have been very busy with other areas of my life. I worked last month for the first time in 2 years. Physical work painting the inside of a 2300 square foot house. I came here because of health problems and have found at least part of the problem's solution. This accident was in 1985 so it has been a long time with pain. I have suffered from Chronic pain since being hit from behind by a drunk driver in a car while riding a small 750 Kawasaki motorcycle. I have found complete release from pain in one day using the Spooky 2 which is a frequency generator using Rife frequencies. This is a small miracle for me. I have been using it to attack arthritis and quite a bit of restricted movement and am getting slow but consistent results. So my attention has been anywhere but working on my web site.
