The Palm tree - the philosophy of WA

Many of us have lived in countrysides and villages and therefore are not new to palm trees. In some homes, the palm has become a beautifying plant in the compounds of those who love gardening and gardens. As I have been thinking about the concept of Wealthy Affiliate (WA) as a platform for online marketing business, and the beautiful many branches it has created to support anyone who happens to have something to do on the WA platform, I immediately begin to place the WA concept and how it has grown to be the leading enterprise for online affiliate network marketing and the like, in terms of the life cycle of the palm tree.

Kyle and Carson, the founders of WA have interesting stories to tell about how the struggle was for them at the beginning. Just like investing in palm plantation, the initial struggle is heartbreaking and demands every bit of your time, energy and more money at all stages of development of the plantation. To make a quick shift; for many of us, the investment we are making into this enterprise can be compared to planting palm. You cannot go to sleep when predators are out to destroy your effort: you will use pesticides and herbicides to free the nursed palm shoots from attack, you want to build hedges around the juvenile trees so that marauding goats seeking food, may not eat the shooting palm leaves and thereby kill the plant (This is very common in the part of the world I come from). So you will realize that, attending to the tender palm plant from the transplanted stage to when it would be secure enough, to want to space your regular visits and constant attention to the infant life of the palm plantation, will be in about a year minimum. To come to this point means patience, time, energy and money, lots of it, to pay for labor, farm implements, medicines, mobility of logistics and others, which are not immediately recoup-able. At this stage it is all spending with no immediate financial benefit.

Such is our plight as newbies on the WA platform. As we join, we do have ambitions, we want early results even as we are going through the entrepreneurial lessons, especially when we have been able to create our websites and all. The journey becomes even more complicated as we get confronted with issues to hurdle, and we are able and can use all avenues and support available within the community. Interestingly, we see the enormous effort we are making towards our goals, ; to have revenue inflow, yet being nowhere near that, and hoping. Like the juvenile palm plant, we would not have reached the period where we could space the visits we make to the site, sleep and once a while do some pruning work on the plants so that they can gain on the quality of returns when they become fruitful. Frankly that is the stage we wish for, but we wouldn't be there yet. It may take over a year to reach that stage, but with our constant determined effort, always working to improve the quality of the content we post to our websites, and creating our affiliate networks, while enjoying the enormous benefits the community provides and all others, we are unlikely to scale to one year before we begin to realize the beautiful fruits from our plantation.

Talking about the fruits from our plantation, do you know that the palm tree provides so many benefits to the owner? Such is where we seek to attain.

As I noted, all of these benefits we aspire to enjoy will only materialize through hard work, enduring the uncertainties patiently and clearing the hurdles one after the other. The wise have said "nothing worthwhile comes cheaply" and an old boxer friend once confessed "no pain, no gain".

There is really no reason to jump from the WA boat, if you understand exactly why you got on board and also what you expect to gain from your membership. In fact, it is said that the fingers we have, are not all the same length and size, and so is our individual success rates; others are quick to reach theirs, and others also attain success through struggle, ultimately we would have all attained it irrespective of time. We cannot all be the same. However, at our respective times, we will get there sooner or later.

We must always remember the troubles of the juvenile palm plant, as it traverses through the dangers of early death, due to difficult growing conditions and it has to be protected from all that by the farm owner, who has to incur huge investment costs to achieve that. When gladly that phase is passed, the fruitful phase outlives every pain suffered.
