I've always loved dogs and I've learned a lot about them. So I created my website (furbabymom) based on my love for and knowledge about dogs. What I'm finding is that although I enjoy writing about dogs, there is so much more I want to write about that, frankly, I'm more interested in. Travel, recipes, health and wellness, life as a grandmother and empty nester, etc. A lifestyle blog is what it would boil down to. While I would love to write about all of those other non-dog topics, I can't imagi

After finishing a post, I went to "Fetch as Google" like I always do. This time, though, it didn't work. It said I needed to verify my site. As far as I know, my site has always been verified and I've had several articles indexed. I hadn't made any changes to my site, so I have no clue what happened. I was really nervous about messing with any code, but it seemed to be saying that's exactly what I needed to do. I had to insert my Google Analytics tracking id into the header. Sounds simple enoug

Hurray!! I've completed Level 4 and I'm so excited to move on to Level 5 which I believe is the last level! I spend a lot of time with the tasks in each lesson and I have also learned a lot from the special courses so many of you have provided. Yesterday I finally figured out how to set up and test my sitemap thanks to one of those extra courses. :-)Today I wrote and published a post, created an image in Canva to go with it and shared the post and image on all of my social media platforms with

So I found a helpful way to come up with new content for my website and thought I'd share it with all of you. What I have done is found magazines within my niche and taken ideas from the headlines on the magazine. Whenever you're standing in line at the grocery store, take note of the headlines on some of the magazines at the checkout counter. Pay attention to the ones in your niche, use some of those headlines in your keyword research and see what you come up with! This would work really well

In my last post I shared how excited I was to be progressing into the social media aspect of the training. Being an introvert, I tend to be more of a "lurker" on social media, spending more time scrolling through than really engaging. I'll like a post and maybe comment here and there. So even as excited as I was about beginning the social media aspect of the training, I'm finding it's not coming as naturally to me as I would've liked. I'm much more of a "listener" even in the world of social me

Wow this one seems like it took me forever to complete! But things are finally starting to "click" for me and I'm really having fun with this new endeavor thanks to all the amazing training and support within Wealthy Affiliate. It looks like Level 4 covers social media and the like and I'm really excited to get started with that. If you ever feel like you'll never "get there", just keep going. I've had many times where discouragement set in and I just felt completely stuck. At this point in time,

Well, I've recently signed up with some affiliate programs as part of my training. So exciting!! Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with the banners and graphics they have sent me! When I click on them, it says "get html" and has an html code......so what am I supposed to do with that? I'm realizing there is still so much to learn and some of it is pretty hard for me to understand. I'm spending a lot of time looking for answers and experimenting, trying to figure things out. I'm prett

One more step (Level 2) completed today! I'm enjoying the training at WA so much and I'm really excited to move on to Level 3 on Making Money!! I'm learning a lot but, probably most importantly, I've learned to push myself to get the tasks done, to get some articles written, to participate in the WA community, etc. It doesn't come naturally for me, but this program is helping me do it. I'm really thankful to be here!

For a long time now, I've felt like I've been spinning my wheels trying to get a home business started that just didn't fit. Since joining WA I feel like I have found a direction I'm comfortable moving in. My hubby has noticed how engaged I have been in the training in WA and he asked me what I was enjoying about it. Well, it has given me direction. I have tasks to do every day and as I get them done I feel a sense of accomplishment. Spinning your wheels gets old really fast! Especially when yo
