Dream Big

Building any business requires hard work and effort. It's no different with an online business. The skills you need to learn all contribute to your success; SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing, etc.

All important tools to master, yet all pale in comparison to developing a growth "MINDSET" .

It begins with belief

I can hear the collective groans now. Ugh, he is going to talk about motivational stuff, Yes I am. Over the past ten years I've been involved in a number of online business ventures. Seen opportunities come and go. More importantly I've seen people come and go. I would ask people why they gave up. I would get a variety of responses: internet marketing doesn't work, it's a scam, I can't do it, I am not a tech person, blah, blah, blah.

All Excuses or justifications for quitting.....

I know it's a bit harsh, but the truth can be painful.

Begin your online business journey with belief in yourself. Many of the people who offered the above excuses would rarely tell me the real reason they quit was they didn't believe in themselves. It's hard to admit you have lost confidence in yourself.

Fear of failure is a powerful emotional tool your subconscious mind uses to limit your future success.

Many of us have a highlight reel of all our past failures playing in our head on a constant loop.

I am no different.

Enough is enough, I made a conscious decision to change my way of thinking

I committed to believing in myself.

I am worthy of success. I am valued. I've things I can share and contribute to my community. I am resilient.

Begin with the End In Mind

It's been my experience you have to have a clear vision of your future. If you don't develop a clear WHY for building your online business. You will struggle daily with wanting to quit and try something else. You will develop what's know in the digital marketing world as;

"Shiny Object Syndrome."

Every new thing you see or learn about online will attract your attention. We are bombarded with ads on Facebook and YouTube marketing the latest and greatest new "Do Dad', or "Thingamajig."

Without a clear vision of who you are and what you value in life your destined for frustration

Bringing me to the title of this blog post.

DREAM BIG

It takes the same amount of effort to set a small goal vs. a big goal. But are we really talking about goal setting when we discuss our dreams and life aspirations.

Not really...

Goals are the tangible steps you take to realize your dreams.

I know what your thinking.

Dreamers have their heads in the clouds.

Its all wishful thinking.

Life rewards the person who is a realist.

Well I say balderdash to that.........

Develop your personal vision of your future life. Dream about the type of future you want for your family, your friends your neighbors and your community. What do you value most in your life. What are you passionate about doing or experiencing. What do you want to give back to our planet. Where do you want to live. Where do you want to travel too.

You will notice I didn't mention material things. Material possessions are great. Don't get me wrong. Once you have all the cool toys, the cars, the gadgets, etc. You may feel a sense of emptiness.

Dreaming big means living life on your terms, with a clear vision of where you want life to take you.

Start today beginning dreaming again.

Let your mind expand and don't let fear hold you back.
