Hi,
you are right. A static front page always stays the same.
Have a look in the customizer under appearance if you can set and choose a static front page there.
Another way is to go to settings -> reading.
There you can choose your static front page, too.
You need to create a page or post first before you can set your static front page.

I bought my new domain name at namecheap.com and made sure my dsn's are correct and pointing to WA. My site still won't transfer. I contacted namecheap.com and they told me it w
Did you make sure and create your domain in WA after you bought the domain from namecheap ? and did you follow the instructions in part two lesson one? There is an awesome video about transferring your rubix site to your new domain. I'll see if I can find it and post it to you. It helped me fix my issue.

Are you trying to transfer a site rubix site to your own domain? If so, go to Site Manager and click the "move" button which you can see under your site rubix site that already exists. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites
I did go to move, and every time I select move my website to a new domain it comes up with an error that says ,please select a new domain :(
