Man is creating machines more intelligent than himself but no, something is missing, no soul.

The world is on the verge of a global age.

These machines, also called Robots have passed the Turing test.

So what is a Turing Test

Turing test is also referred to as imitation test. It is a test done to determine how close a robot is able to exhibit intelligent behavior which matches humans. Human evaluator will judge natural language conversations between human and the machine. (Wikipedia)

In comes Lil Miquela, a virtual influencer enabled by a Brain-Computer interface BCI. She is an Instagram influencer with millions of followers. She is a computer-generated image (CGI). She can do almost anything humans can do, responds to people like any human. She's been able to partner with well-known brands like Prada etc.

She's an Avatar of a human controlled by human thoughts through BCI. Other CGIs exist and more are being created daily. Many initially thought she was real until exposed by another virtual avatar. She is already earning millions a year.

Reasons for using robots

1. It will definitely save money than engaging a real influencer, better return on investment.
2. The robotic contents can be influenced easily.
3. Product life cycle is better with robots.
4. Communication can be automated.

There is a need to acquire knowledge of new technology in terms of nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology as the world transforms to a new age. Robots are not new but they are gradually becoming part of our lives. You may already have one near you.

Is this the end of mankind as we know it?

Are we slowly seeing the replacement of human influencers?

Is this the beginning of Transhumanism?
