Checking things off the list
I have to say the past few weeks have been crazy and I have neglected my site a bit. Nevertheless, we got some things done.
We recently moved and have been packing, unpacking, trashing, keeping. It amazed me how we had so many things! Looking back at the old house it felt as we had little to nothing lol. It definitely is a struggle to find a new home for all sorts of things.
Right after the weekend we moved it was vacation time!! I looked forward to relaxing and falling asleep at the sound of the waves crashing. It was peaceful, I could do that all day every day and I did come back saying I need a vacation. (Don't judge me, I like to think we all do that) Our vacation inspired my recent post - Going on a road trip with kids? - 5 must haves
I did mention the list I had planned for my future here in the states one of it being my car. I had mentioned to a friend that it would be great to gift myself a car for my birthday coming up in a few days. With a lot of effort trying to save up and saying no to all those yummy take out places I managed to do that! I am bragging a little because, I consider it a major accomplishment as it is my first car... and what makes it even better is that it is the car I wanted. Year, Make, model and MOST IMPORTANTLY MANUAL TRANSMISSION. It took me a second to get used to shifting with my right hand instead of my left but I got it and it was smooth sailing.
She has her flaws but, I am proud of her and I look forward to working on her. I must say so far she has been good to me. wink wink to all those car lovers out there. The 2004 Mustang I spoke about in my previous post.
