The fear vs faith break-away

I'm so tired of doing the same ole, same ole day after day.

My Faith tells me 'go on and try something new something different'.

But Fear says 'naw, stick to what you know...the safe, the tested tried and true -- just go work for somebody else, let them do all the worrying. Be happy with your bi-weekly cheque and don't risk a thing!'

Faith pounds at the door telling me to step out on Faith and take a chance on myself. To ignore the pounding in my chest and the sweaty palms because Fear is just trying to steal my excitement. To trust myself and have confidence.

Fear tries to rush in and convince me 'it's too hard, it will cost too much and it will take too long to achieve this new thing. Besides, I'm no Einstein and who am I kidding anyway!'

I'm comfortable right where I am. Everybody wants more and stepping out on Faith doesn't gurantee a better living so why try...why bother to move out from making a living to the land of the living???

And Faith hits me with a lightbulb moment...stop existing and start living!!!

From the moment we are born we are programmed to follow and respond to the subtle unwritten standards of acceptable living.

Go to school, get the degree, get the job, get a career, get married, buy the house, buy the car, have the child, have another, maybe have another and by no means should you question if that is all to living. It's all beautiful yes but sooner or later it becomes a type of mundane living.

Then Faith shows up, gets you excited and impatient to try something new, something different. You know, it makes you want to break away from traditional living and get back to the land of the living. It's not for everyone, oh no but you feel the fire, the passion, the nagging insistence!

Then Fear shows it's ugly head and says 'don't even waste your time, don't bother to try it'.

And Faith simply says 'take a chance on yourself and enjoy the excitement! Create something new, move over to the land of the living and enjoy the ride because you're worth it!'
