Three month check-up
"Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path." ~Steve Maraboli
I've been with Wealthy Affiliates for three months now. The chilly winter winds have given way to spring thunder storms across the Kansas prairie, and in my personal life as well.
These personal storms have wreaked havoc with my progress on my WA lessons, but I'm still putting one "foot" in front of another, completing tasks and building my website. I keep telling myself that progress is still progress even when it's slow.
I've had to abandon one of my websites (rockingbcarriage.org) due to a "storm" with the person I was working for on that site. I enjoyed writing for this site, so I grieve the loss, as well as the loss of a companion.
My other site (kbscornerstore.com) is going through an expansion. I've begun to diversify its content to include help with more than just digestive problems. I want to add posts on various mental/emotional problems as well.
Something Kyle said in one of the WA lessons, has really stayed with me--that what we do has to be first about helping people, not about making money. Even though my site is called a store, I really want it to be most about sharing, helping, supporting, and learning.
I have found such a great example of this here at WA. You are all amazing--from Kyle and Carson down to the ones who have just joined! Every time I engage here I find something to lift my spirits, and I am deeply grateful.
So, what are my goals for the next three months?
- finish the basic WA training
- continue to engage with the WA family
- grow in my use of social media
- grow kbscornerstore.com
- start a new website focused on spirituality
- explore some of the other great training from fellow members here at WA
- continue to work on my personal struggles with courage, hope and faith.
