My Toilet Flushed in the Middle of The Night. twice

So what - you ask?

Since it's only my tea cup Yorkie and I that live in this house why would it flush, twice, if I wasn't the one pressing that handle? Spooky right? Yep!

The first time I decided that it must have been my neighbors toilet and I must have been aware because it was the "dead of night." I'd never heard it before, however it was very quiet so I rationalised that one. Then about an hour later it flushed again. I totally freaked out - got up and looked at the toilet (true! LOL) - listened for someone else in the house and no-one. It was time to call my REALTOR® - oh right - I am a REALTOR®. I called my neighbor this morning - we decided I needed to sage my house and bless it and lets get rid of the unwelcome guest and not move house!

I googled "toilet flushing on its own" and was relieved to read it was a term known as "Ghost Flushing" or "Phantom Flushing.." Yusssss! who new?

So a little youtube video learning lesson (because we can learn everything from youtube) and I figured out how to stop the night time shenanigans and get more beauty sleep! At least my heart rate was up and I was burning calories - so it was worth the wake up call - literally!
