Sow a seed.

Evening all!

I have been working in the garden all day today. It has been beautiful weather here! It got me thinking about the time it takes for a seed to germinate, grow, and produce...we all accept that. And how similar that is to building a business of your own.

But, when it comes to an online business, everybody seems to expect to achieve financial results overnight. I bet you it is the first thing anybody asks when you say you are an Internet Entrpremeur or an Online Marketer....How much do you make and how long did it take?Why is that?

If you were starting a bricks and mortar business, you would expect to spend time setting things up, putting everything in place, for weeks, months, maybe even years before you "launched". And then, once it was up and running, most people would agree that it is not unreasonable to spend at least a year or two working, before you actually turn a profit.

Yet, when it comes to an online business, people seem to think that there is some sort of shortcut. Yes, it is true you don't need premises, staff, stock necessarily. But you do still need to invest at least yourself and your time, if not actual money, into your new venture. And although you shouldn't need to wait years to see a profit, surely you can afford to invest in your self and your new venture for a few months before expecting to see a financial profit?

Whatever your current circumstances, you are going to need to learn new skills and to motivate yourself to do things when you may not feel like it, just as you would in any other new venture. So why not accept that this is the case, and get going, without expectation of immediate financial reward? You are investing in your future. Surely it is worth it?
