My first month with WA

When I decided to give Wealthy Affiliate a try, I did so with many reservations. The free starter period made it easy to get into the program and see what it was all about. I knew I could turn back whenever I wanted, so there was no risk to take at all.

I was coming into the world of internet marketing with absolutely no knowledge or experience. I am a baby boomer with a background in radiography so my education is in radium physics, chemistry, x ray procedure, anatomy and physiology, and medical procedures. Besides the computer programs I need to know for my job my other expertise is internet shopping (took to that like a fish takes to water!).

It didn't take me too long to find my niche, I simply made a list of things that were important to me and picked the one thing on the list that I felt was the most worthwhile to share with people on the internet.

Being completely new to this situation I was still able to quickly create my web site with the step by step instructions given in Kyle's awesome classes. Then I became impatient and over confident and began to jump into areas where I didn't have the know how rather than patiently following the plan. Silly me!!! I ran into some real problems and never would have gotten this far if it were not for the help from this great community. I had to back track and remind myself that the reason Wealthy Affiliate was something I trusted enough to try was because it is not one of those "get rich quick" schemes. Like anything true in life if you want the benefit, you do the work.

What I love about Wealthy Affiliate most is not all the information and resources that come with the program, and that is a lot, but the "pay it forward" policy and genuinely real people behind that. One of my goals is to build up more spare time as I go along my WA journey to devote to "paying it forward".
