So I enrolled....So did you. We are both here. Are you as nervous as I am? Are we being scammed? It looks great so far. Although I realize it's going to be a lot of work right? Let's get going. I need some time to process everything, but I am feeling more and more confident that I can.

A little bit about me and my experience online.

I must admit, I have some prior experience with blogging and making money online. But it was always just enough to pay the bills to keep the website/tools up and running.

In 2010 I started a cake decorating blog in Dutch. I am from the Netherlands. Which was also one of the reason it did not catch on very quickly, since there were no affiliates related to cake decorating (yet). I built an audience through facebook, twitter and different Cake making forums. The best I did financially was at Christmas time releasing a review of a new book that came out and placing it on my santa list. I made 80 euro's in 3 days. In Europe we have Bol.c o m . It's our version of Amazon.

But since I only had a Dutch/Belgian market, I kind of gave up. It is still there. making small amounts of adsense money. I made my mistakes there, and I have many ideas on how to improve, but the tutorials and blogposts cost so much. Both money and time, that I needed to let it go (for now) It's no longer inspiring. I wonder after a few lessons here if I want to pick it up, or tweek it a little here and there.

I am nervous about understanding the performance tools, and about understanding all the terms involved in online marketing. Visitors, bounce rates, jaaxy, amazon, traffic, social media. I am ready to get started. One of my questions is should I also include a Dutch website with Dutch affiliates. It's about 20 million people (I should check that) including Belgium, so it could be a good thing.

I am confident enough to use English. I want to try some things out and talk about things that move me. I wonder where I am going to be a year from now.
