Three Weeks ago I saw a Facebook post about a site called Wealthy Affiliate. Curious I did my home work, and I Goggled Wealthy Affiliate. It seemed most everyone loved what was offered. A negative reviews about how after one week you had to pay in order to continue, but not once did I see a large audience calling it a scam. The majority of the reviews I read spoke of how great the community was, how helpful everyone in the community was, and most of all how successful they felt within their businesses. Now the decision I must make.
What decision did I make?
Obviously you are reading this post so that should tell you that I decided to join Wealthy Affiliate. The decision wasn't easy. How do you decide to join a community where you have very little experience. I already had a website with a domain name at Godaddy.com. Why would I start fresh. Well my site wasn't getting noticed where I was at. I took the plunge. What would it hurt with having 7 days to try it out.
Within the first few days I learned a ton of things. I learned how to build a website, affiliate marketing, how to properly blog, and most of all I learned how true the reviews were about the community. I found everyone to be very helpful. With that I decided to move to joining the community on a monthly basis. How excited I was to get the email from Kyle about the yearly Black Friday deal. Wow what an amazing deal to take advantage of. I got a whole year to develop my niche, but also learn as much as I can. So again I "took the plunge" signing up for the Black Friday Deal.
What has happened in the first 3 weeks?

I have taken my niche K1 Visa Guru from Godaddy, and transferred everything over to WA. I rebuilt my website. I must say my site has grown from Good to WOW in two shorts weeks. My site is not completely where I want it to be yet, but I must say it much nicer than the original site I had. I am going to start giving feedback to others so that I can get feedback on my own site. I believe this will help my index greatly with all the great feedback I am sure to get. Now I need to start getting comments on my site.
In two weeks I got my email "Google indexed your website." Wow what an amazing feeling to see that email come in. I have not reached the top 10 pages yet, but I know with patience, commitment, and dedication I am on the path of greatness.
So far things have been going well. What I am most proud of is I have posted 7 blog posts. I never found myself to be much of a writer. I over think everything, and so when it comes to writing I get an idea pretty quickly. The problem with being an over thinker is that I get stuck with how to start my blog. So recently I decided to just sit down, and start writing. I think I have gone back to the top and changed my beginning on every post at least 10 times. At the end of the day I am most proud of the posts I have made.
Lastly I have added some affiliate posts to my website. This I feel is important as it gives my traffic a few more options than just what I am promoting. I have joined at least 4 different affiliates that I can promote everything from air travel, hotel reservations, luggage, to flags for the countries to which my traffic might be coming from.
Where to go from here?
Going forward I must remain diligent on perfecting my end product with my website. I will continue to be dedicated to my niche, and to helping those interested in the topic for which there is a need for honest people. The K1 Visa process is one filled with scammers. Those that I am trying to help need to know that honesty is important. I have dedicated myself to making sure I help everyone even if they don't buy my product as this is the best way to build a following for which one day others will come and purchase my package. My main goal is that within one year I am going to have a fully functional self driven website, google index to which will drive traffic to my site to give people an honest product. I am determined to reach the goals I have set for myself when I started WA. Most of all I want to double those goals within the next 2 years.
