I use low QSR keywords and still google won't rank my pages. When I run serp tracker tool and search my google rankings with those keywords my website is not on the top 100 pag

It sounds like you are headed in the right direction to getting your website ranked. Unfortunately there is no specific time frame for getting ranked, there are only some things you can do to help make your page the best quality it can be. It sounds like you are doing great with content and keywords (although don't saturate your posts with keywords either Google will notice), so maybe try some of this....

So, the answer to your question is yes it is the quality of your content, the comments you are getting, etc. Utilize WA as much as possible and get people in the community to read and comment on your posts and share them on Facebook or +1 them on Google + or whatever other social network you may be using to promote your content. I go in every day and share my content, ask people to look and comment, and then I go through and read and comment on at least 3-5 other people as a way to pay it forward.

This system has worked so well and not when you Google "Should I go back to college?" my website is # 2 on the first page of Google!

Good luck and just keep focusing on quality content and getting that content out there for others to read and benefit from! Just don't forget to pay it forward!

Hi! Thanks for your help. Maybe I'm too impatient here. I continue to work with my content and focus on quality. Thanks.

Hi! I have registered to google Adsense and added that Adcode to my website which is empty now because they have not approved it yet. They have been checking my website like a

I have heard there are a few quality points they look for at least 30 pages of good unique content. And not a site that has been designed to serve ads.

Aha, I think it is because lack of content then. I have like 10-15 pages/posts there. I need to improve that more.

Thanks Anthony! I will add more content and expand it, maybe then they will approve it.

It normally take 3 days for me, but It can be longer these days. Make sure your site is highly qualified for them, for they usually decline sites that do not meet their requirements

Hi! I got the following message from amazon.com and they closed my affiliate account:

"Thank you for your interest in the Amazon Associates Program.

Hello, I just visit your website and I think the statement on your up right claiming you are in the affiliation program
-----
"Amazon Associates Disclosure

seems violate the Trademark Guideline. Also I think the word "buy from Amazon" it's to vulgar for them and people will consider your word "buy from Amazon" is endorsed by Amazon (which is not).

I'm on my way to try this amazon link, this is a good case.

I disagree.

That wording is what most affiliates use and is almost the same as it is written by Amazon itself:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/agreement
(#5)
Without that disclosure, you risk losing your affiliate account.
It is a must-have!

Additionally, Amazon says that links have to be clearly labeled that they lead to Amazon.
I am not sure if they only mean that the link must not be cloaked (I know that is illegal), or if they mean that the text of the link has to say something like "buy from Amazon".
Since I have another question, I might jump in the Amazon chat and ask.

I just had a chat with Amazon.

They basically recommend to only use the tools and links they provide.
As those are 100% secure and within their policy.

Cloaking is forbidden, of course.
The text of links can be edited to your liking. "Buy at Amazon" is fine. Just don't say something like "Sponsored by Amazon".

Cheers
Moritz

Thanks Moritz for the explanation. I also new on this.

You're welcome. :)

Okay! I have now added Amazon Disclosure widget to my site. I have also made a new associates account to amazon. What do you think? Should I remove all affiliate links to amazon as well, because they have closed my account before?

I'm assuming that your links are now related to your new account. If so, then no need to remove them.

If they point to your old, banned, account, then I would remove them.

Good luck.

Fingers crossed they don't ban you again.
I have heard from people that they got banned again because they used the same website.
They might let it slip, but they might just decide to ban you again.

I would highly recommend you try to find additional affiliate partners.

Moritz

Hi,

it really is annoying, that Amazon is never really clear when they are shutting someone down.
It could have been the missing affiliate disclosure like Thamisgith said.

If you are using quotes, I would always recommend using special HTML tags, so that bots also realize that it's a quote:

http://html5doctor.com/blockquote-q-cite/

I am trying to write an example here, but it might not work, as it's HTML:

The Quote

The URL must be the website from where you took the quote. This attribution won't be displayed visibly and is for bots only.
Additional to that, you have to link to the source visibly, too.

But since Amazon is not really clear, I am not sure if that would make them happier.... :/

Moritz

Hi MoritzS!

Yeah I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who have problems with Amazon. Thanks!

Looks like you might have reused some of the reviews left on Amazon by customers?

That's a big no-no for Amazon - don't ask me why?

If so then that is definitely one reason (there may be others) for your rejection.

I haven't used.

One other question - do you have your Amazon Associates disclosure somewhere on your site?

Couldn't see it, but I was skimming only as in a hurry right now.

Nope. I haven't added it yet.

I kinda missed that section. Maybe that's the reason?

Yes, that would be more than enough on its own.

If you've used quotes from the back cover, which weren't from the author, that might still be a problem for Amazon. The publisher's blurb is fine though - as long as you mark it clearly.

Thanks for your wisdom. I will fix it soon so they can open my affiliate account again.

I had a very quick look at your site and it looks fine to me. I'll have another look later when I have more time to see if I can spot anything.

Using a reasonable amount of text as a quote should be fine - as long as it is clearly a quotation.

Book cover images could be a problem depending upon where you sourced them. If you get them from Amazon, then just download an image link, which you're perfectly entitled to use as an Associate (or when you're applying to be an associate).

If you sourced them from elsewhere and didn't credit the source, then that could be problematic.

However, don't worry too much. You can reapply as many times as you like. It's frustrating, but I'm sure you can fix it.

If in doubt, drop Amazon an e-mail or phone them up to check what the problem might have been.

I much appreciate your help!
