Choosing the right type of domain effecively
As we move into creating more domain in our online business, don't take too much time to think what name we should be registering for our next new online business.
Ever since Google has changed the way how they rank websites since 2017, Google has no longer look at the quality of domain whether it has an exact match domains (EMD) to rank your website / online business.
Google has changed the strategy by ranking websites through quality of content. And this has never changed ever since the birth of search engines. Google will rank your site based on relevant business and unique content created by us.
The moment we click the `Publish' button from WordPress to publish a page or a post, Google will start to crawl on our page to compare our content against similar type of online business.
If Google found the type of content we created or curated is unique and relevant serving the right audience, our website will be rank accordingly.
So, once our websites are rank, our domain would certainly be recognize over a course of time. And we would also able to create a trust with the audience for our domain to be recognize and eventually become a brand. This can also means, more people are clicking-through our websites, therefore it created higher click-through-rate (CTR).
If you are struggling or having doubts in creating your first domain, don't sweat, below are some of the common sense approach you can take note of when you are creating domain:-
STEP 1 - Make a memorable domain name
STEP 2 - Create a domain no more than 17-characters, keep it short and simple.
STEP 3 - Make sure there is no special characters, hyphen and numbers in your new domain.
STEP 4 - Make sure there is no spelling error in your domain / if you intend to make your domain name a bit `Jazzy', make sure it is relevant to the original spelling e.g. Lyft (this word can't found in dictionary), Lift (you can definitely find this word in the dictionary)
STEP 5 - Make it easy to spell, just like the example above on the word `Lyft'.
Along the way once your domain name is recognize, we would eventually see a brand emerge in the online space.

The domain creation was a pain for me in the past but right now I am free to create any name I like as long as it is able to relate back to the content you are posting towards the niches you are building.
