Blog Post Bombed! Zero Traffic!

I asked this in questions, but don't really see it getting much activity there and its Huge!

:)

So while keeping an eye on a few of my posts, I noticed that the estimated traffic shown from the keyword tool is not the same as shown from other tools on a few of my posts for certain keywords. I have been watching them for a few weeks and it's repeatedly showing me that those blog post keywords are garbage, are not getting any traffic and will not be getting any down the road.

My question is, does anyone have any experience switching keywords on an existing post, copying a post to a new one, renaming it, change the title and other keyword spots in order to get ranked for better keywords? Then delete the old post.

Will google bring down the penalty hammer for using an existing post in this manner?

Thanks for any help!

There's too much worry about Google in terms of what if? Your solution here appears effective and inconsequential!

I will do some tweaking and see how it goes!

Thanks for the help!

I have done it with some of my older post , I rephrased the whole post used also questions to rephrase the whole post.My Traffic went up . I also used facebook to redirect people there.

Thank you very much!
I am thinking of creating a new post, adding the old content to it and tweaking it a bit while using new keyword, new title with new keyword and new URL since the old posts are total bombs, there really isn't any reason to keep them.

I just hope I don't get dinged by Google for reusing the old stuff, but we will see. Since the posts are not and will not get any traffic, there is really no point in keeping them.

Thanks for your help!
