I think you misunderstood my post. I wasn't self promoting, I was introducing myself and explaining my background. I explicitly stated my niche is gaming and game development, and wanted to blog about narrative design and character development.
I have absolutely no need to "promote" my games here. I can't imagine it would yield results even close to what I already have available.
I have direct contact with Youtube influencers and Twitch streamers, but none really have expertise in affiliate marketing, neither do I. It's 2023, I'd be incredibly surprised if there were no gamers here.
Did I mess up and should have just not got a membership at Wealthy Affiliate again? I just got back into this program and was going through the training module and it said to participate in some chat so I did. This is the second time the community has been cold. Which is why I stopped doing Wealthy Affiliate in the first place.
I was looking for people which I have something in common with, that also have experience in affiliate marketing.
Did I post a link to my game? Did I ask anyone to buy it? If I do a google search of my game, the Steam page comes up, my youtube channel comes up, Twitch streamers come up...
I was encouraged to engage in the community and you just told me to go somewhere else.
Guess I'll just mind my own business and use the webhosting service.
