Off and Running.
So I've created my website, and completed 4 posts that are targeted at "low hanging fruit" keywords. I feel a good sense of accomplishment so far in having completed these tasks, and I feel like I have a real handle on what it will take moving forward to create a successful affiliate marketing business.
The lessons have been really straightforward, and completing the tasks has allowed me to get to where I am today. The only thing left to understand at this point is monetizing my site, but I have plenty of time to master that, as it will take several months for my first posts to get indexed and ranked.
I've set a goal for myself of creating two keyword-targeted content-rich posts per day during the week, and one per day on the weekends, so a total of 12 posts for the week. I've used the handy goal setting widget in the website content app to keep my accountable, and I believe I'll achieve these goals. If I can complete 12 posts per week for 3 years, I'll likely have reached my goals of making $20-30k per month through affiliate marketing. This is based on the $.50 for each daily click on each post I create rule of thumb that Kyle mentioned in one of the videos.
I am looking forwrad to having my site indexed and ranked in Google. It will be a great feeling to get that first email, for sure!
Anyway, here's to completing my goals each day and looking back on a successful business one day in the not-so-distant future!
