ok so i copy the amazon affiliate link but one i get over to wordpress i cant post it it wont let me . so i dont know what i am doing wrong
Glad to see that you have now mastered this. Don't worry you should find plenty of help here with anything that you are having problems with. The tip is don't struggle (definitely don't give up) just ask.
We are all aware that there is a mega learning curve here, in fact we are all still learning and have to rely on the community from time to time.

OK, so you've copied the link. It starts with <iframe and ends with </iframe> right?
Now go to your post and open it in Classic Editor.
Put the cursor where you want the link to go.
In the top right corner are two tags, Visual and Text. Click Text to show the html.
Paste the link by pressing Ctrl+V.
No, that was the initial plan but my niche is makeup and skincare for women over 50. I’m thinking that I need to narrow it down more.

Once you've signed up to Amazon Affiliates, you can find a product to promote and then get its code. This will be a snippet of html code.
Then place your cursor where you want the link to appear and use your editors feature to insert html.
If you're using the Classic editor, you can click the Text tab, which will display the page's html and you can insert it there.
