Caribbean Children
The sound of the rooster calling the sun to shine upon the salty waters and ever lush and green forestry near and far to awake and welcome the dawn of a new day, greeted by the chirping and chattering of many birds and creatures that dwell on the lands of paradise.
Long lived on by her natives and explored, exploited by the native to the son of the soil - man ..Human beings.
Born to fresh air, sunlight and starry skies living in the islands has it's advantages. Growing up here the freedom of the run, unspeakable joy, innocence and the escape of worry, Has it advantages and disadvantages.
As I recall, it was the trips to the beach each summer with friends and family, taking bathes under the stand pipes on the way home rain fall or sunshine, simply enjoying life (these days I miss).
With the modernization of our neighborhoods such memories and sights of children having their own kind of innocent fun is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Sad to say!
