What an awesome start!
It's been close to 2 months since I joined WA. I'm so glad I did! I was a complete newbie to internet marketing and website development before I joined. Notice that I said was. The training here is world class, and I've learned so much in such a small period of time.
Kyle's tutorials are so detailed that it is very easy to understand all the steps. I was a little worried about creating content, but it has been very fun. I just think about a topic and then write freely. Also, the community is very helpful, and I found answers to all of the questions I had.
I got a little stuck for a while, because my website wasn't looking the way I wanted. But after spending some time with it, I realized that it was a matter of getting a Theme more suited to my website idea. I made the change, and I'm loving the results. Definitely seek out simple themes when starting out. I'm currently using xMag. It is easy and goes well with my website idea.
I'm a single dad, so my first niche is around that: single dad lifestyle. It is easy to think about topics, because I just think about what interests me and my single dad buddies. My wish is to be able to help single dads in creating a well-balanced and amazing life.
It has required an important time commitment on my part. I have a full time job, plus I take care of my son. This means that I have to work on my business from 9pm-2am. I'm trying to at least do something everyday and be consistent. But it really doesn't feel like work. Time flies when you're doing what you love.
In the next couple of weeks I plan to have my first affiliate programs up and running, and hopefully start seeing my first sales come in the next couple of months. But I'm definitely in for the long haul.

If I was a single dad, then I would love a website that resonates with my lifestyle and I think you are on the right track.
The website looks great. I think you are going to add great value to all the single dads.
Tip: Choose your affiliate programs wisely. Make sure it is products that you would use yourself and maybe you should try it out. Building credibility is important.
Adding an online shop in the future on your website is something to think about. Amazing things pop up in my mind.
