The product I have chosen to promote comes with a "done for you" affiliate site. Please advise whether I should go with this ready made site--or create my own custom site in Wor

Looks unanimous on creating your own site...more fun anyways. :))

Yes, definitely more fun--and I will learn a lot too. Thanks for weighing in on this.

No problem, good luck and have fun. :))

It's part of the learning curve to overcome technical challenges do it yourself for that reason. Besides when you ask a stupid question because the obvious is biting you on the nose - we all smile before we answer it. We smile in a nostalgic way knowing we all went through the same challenges at some point and we also could not see the wood for the trees. Don't deny us our nostalgia

thanks. Not sure what you mean about the stupid question part but I can tell you mean well and want to help :)

Hi. You really should be creating your own affiliate site. Using someone else's "done for you" just takes the realness out of it. It is more of a personal accomplishment when you do it yourself, not the same thing as when others have just copied something. JMO

You are absolutely correct Michelle. Besides, I want to learn how to create a site from scratch--and I wouldnt be learning anything with a plug and play site. Thanks for your advice. I will take it! :)

Nice meeting you Julie and best to you, as well! :) Michelle

Julie, You should create your own .
Because using their ready made site.
Everyone else uses the same one.
You will get lost in a sea of "all the same" sites.

Thanks Ken. I knew that this was probably the way to go. I do want to stand out--and i cant do this with a cookie cutter site. Appreciate your input.

You are welcome Julie, that is one of the reasons I am here. ;-)

You should customize your own site so that it has a little bit of your personality in it. If you go with the "done for you" it maybe a duplicate of a site that they have made for someone else.

Thanks Samantha. I'm going to do that.

I just signed up today and would like to change my user name? Can i do this? if so, how?

In the account settings you can change this. Only allowed one time though so make sure the new one is what you want.

Upper right on the pull down for your profile or lower left in the menu bar.

Thanks Labman! Done!

I am trying to use a photo from my computer and add it to my profile page--but its not working? what are the correct steps?

There have been times when it is very slow, at peak times when there are a lot of people on the site.

thanks. I think that was the problem. I persisted and it finally worked!

The blue button below your existing pic is "Add Another Image".

Hm...
Mine is working.
Go to your profile. Below your pic is "Add another image". A box will pop up - click on From Your Computer - then find your photo on your PC and choose it, click "open". It should upload immediately.

Thanks Vicki. I finally got it to work. Appreciate your feedback :)

You're welcome! I'll help you out any time I can. Welcome to WA!

Thanks! Great to be here. Im getting a really good feeling about WA!
