How do you keep Driven?

As days pass by, opportunities arise and die.

There have been several days since I last opened my WA account, blaming it on the poor wifi connection that made it impossible to read the training videos, or blaming it on the fact that I didn't have my credit card to buy my domain name. It's interesting how the human psyche (or maybe mine in particular) behaves like a rollercoaster as soon as a routine appears on the horizon. I am currently recovering from a whirlwind of change. A change in my relationship, a change in country, a change in my career, a change in my financial situation.

I often try to imagine how my ideal day would look like. Starting by meditating to set focus on the present and keep my mind from overheating as soon as I wake up. This would help me focus on the important things in my life and the things that I am grateful for. Then physical exercise to "get the blood moving" and remember what it feels like to feel alive. Then my day would go on, until I have time to work on this Affiliate Marketing project of mine in order to be completely financially independant within the next two years. But it never happens for more than a couple of days. Then I end up watching cooking shows and puppy compilations on Youtube for hours. Yes, only on Youtube can one be related to the other!

I know that in order for me to stay driven I need to keep a vivid image of what it will be like once I reach my goal of living through this activity. In details. So I'll keep trying.

I'd love to know your story, how you manage to stay driven as days go by, as routine sets, as sometimes uninteresting articles have to be written or hours spent in front of a computer screen while you could be out there hiking or camping and being satisfied with your 9 to 5 job.

Hi Jules. I try to do as much work as I can in the mornings before I look at social media or watch any TV.
If I am working that day I try to spend time before I settle down to relax.
This is like exercise, you have to develop a habit of working at it each day, and habits take time.
Take your goal, make an action plan with small steps and work your plan. Find ways to motivate yourself. Either through reading or watching something motivating on Youtube.
Reward yourself as you complete tasks with a trip outside or watching a cooking show if that is what you like.
Stay motivated and keep working towards your goal.
