Getting Out of Comfort Zones

Comfort zones are hard to step away from. It can be any number of things that create a comfort zone. Whether it's job or financial security, our families or the places we live. It's a bubble that surrounds us and when we pop that bubble, after the initial exhilarating feeling, we find moments that have us question if we should have done that.

I've found in my life, job burnout is what has caused me to pop my bubble of security. Although, I have to give some credit to my husband that comes up with some ideas and then I hop on for the ride. I'm not entirely sure I'd be brave enough without him but he claims he couldn't without me. We're a team, I guess.

The first time was 20 years ago when he proposed we move out west. We were both burned out and in dire need of something different. We sold out house and moved 2100 miles with only the information we had from the internet. We had never been there before, no jobs lined up, no place to live yet. We just went. It worked out and we lived there for 20 happy years.

Near the end of those 20 years, I got burned out again. We had discussed off and on about going full-time in an RV and travel. One day I came home from work and started listing the pros and cons and said to him, "Let's do this." We've just started this new journey in our life and have been on the road for 1 month so far.

While exploring job opportunities while having a life on the road, I came across the Wealthy Affiliate website. After my first week, I could see that this was the real deal. It is informative and supportive. It was not a get-rich-quick or pyramid scheme. I could see the tangibility and it is up to me how successful or unsuccessful my website is. I have yet to make my first dollar, but I'll keep pressing on and see where this goes. Have patience and persevere. While life does not guarantee or owe us anything, it offers endless possibilities. We have to decide for ourselves.
