Just to be sure I would like to know if the competition when I'm researching a keyword should be less than 300 or 100? I'm seeing a lot of both and do not know which one to go

If you haven't been having luck with under 300, try under 100. Have you seen this from Kyle? Sometimes I don't even look at traffic. I just get low competition keywords, because over time they will build into many small bits of traffic adding up to larger daily traffic stats.

When I started out, I shot for 100 and less and nothing else. The lower the better, there are plenty of keywords out there that are 40 and less. You have to dig deep to find them, but they are diamonds versus copper ore. The diamonds take longer to find, but you can reap one awesome reward for using it optimally.

100 was what I was thinking because I've been going with 300 or less and haven't been ranking as well at least not as well as In would like to that is. Thanks everyone.

Say for instance that you rank on page eight with your new content...is that a permanent ranking or will it move up in rank according to the quality of your content?

It will move up in rank according to the popularity and relevance of your post.

You will notice that new content might rank well at first but give it a day or two and your page ranking will fluctuate: High and low. Don't let it discourage you though as it can do so!

There are 10 results per page in Google so I try to find competition of less than 100 to get into the first 10 pages and then climb up because of my good content. ~Marion

We're told less than 300, but the lower the better. :)

Does anyone here know of any good heart health, heart disease, etc. affiliate programs that are available? Thanks for the help.

Thanks everyone!

You can sign-up to "Commission Junction", there you can find many topics and company's products to promote

Have you seen this training yet on finding affiliate programs?

I do not but will keep an eye out.

Have a look at clickbank they have a health section

In the past I had some regular sales of this program - its from clickbank http://lisanelsonrd.com/behearthealthycb.html

In my friends list is a fellow that goes by Kylekim. he might have your answers.

You should always have backups. You definitely need them before updating WordPress or WordPress plug-ins. However, problems can occur for a variety of reasons and you should always always have a backup

If I deactivate the robots.txt file in my wordpress then should I also remove the blocked resources from my webmaster tools account as well? Because I deactivated the file in word

So the robots.txt file on my wordpress and on google webmaster tools are two different things? And I need the one on webmaster tools? Was just wondering if I could delete it because when I did a mobile friendly test it said that the robots.txt file had blocked 5 resources and the page may not show correctly. But if I need the one on webmaster tools then I'll leave it alone.

Hi James,

Why would you want to deactivate robots.txt ?

The robots.txt on Wordpress doesn't actually exist and is only a virtual robots.txt file.

If there is anything that you don't want crawled on your site, then you need to either find a plugin where it allows you to edit the robots.txt file or physically create a robots.txt file and upload it via FTP.

Hope this helps.
Jay

Anyone??

Hi James, according to my knowlegde, robot.txt files are only needed if you want to block google crawler to crawle certain pages on your website, as a result, those pages will not be indexed.
So, if you don't want to block any page, then you don't need to configure any robot.txt file
