Ridge Report 1: Getting Started.

I've felt compelled to put this together for some time now. My initial thoughts on this place and how I see it for myself. First and foremost, as I said in my profile, I've been looking for more alternative sources of income for a while. The past 10-12 years to be exact. I've been through quite a bit, from door-to-door marketing, drop-shipping, mail order marketing, net-spacing, and countless MLMs. As I'm sure I don't have to tell you, I've made much less money back than I ever put into doing any of that.

But I guess you can say I never really gave up. I love the idea of working from home and setting my own time. Especially at a time like now where I will need something to rely on when it comes to moving. It's easier to take work with me. No one wants to move in with someone and then go looking for work afterwards. Talk about a bad way to go.

Which now leads me to where I found this site. I received in the mail another mail money marketing opportunity. It sounded lucrative and legit, but like any sensible person, I looked for reviews. I found them, but most of them voiced skepticism and warning. In the process, I saw a review for this site. And after reading other reviews for this place that all speak accolades and praise galore, I decided to come aboard.

So what do I think?

For one thing, this place has a different vibe than pretty much any other site that offers such opportunities like home-based business building. This is actually a good thing because most other sites just take your money and leave you in the dust. This is the first where I've seen a place offer to hold your hand every step of the way. To further my point, at the time of this blog, I haven't been here for a week yet, have done next to nothing so far in terms of building anything, and I already have 30+ followers. Now, I'm new to the concept of social media. I own no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any social media accounts. I have a YouTube channel with virtually nothing on it and an account to a chat service (the one I use with my wife). Therefore, the idea of following/being followed is unknown to me. But apparently, it means that the people on that list are watching what I'm doing here. And considering that I checked out some of the profiles of some of these followers, seeing that some are people who've had their share of success here, I think that's actually pretty cool to see that there are members of the community actually interested to follow my progress. I would imagine it would also mean to lend a hand if necessary too. This is all more than I can say for other sites I've been to, where most of the community there is usually just as lost as I am in making things work.

That said, this place shows promise. I do have a better feeling about being here than I have before at other ventures. As I said, I haven't done much yet. This is mainly because I'm trying to take in everything first before I actually start making moves. Knowing what I'm getting into and all. I still have some doubts about how well this will work, but I'll either hold on them until they're no longer a factor or voice them in a later report. I do intend to truly put some time and effort into this, which I'm more encouraged to do so here than anywhere else. I do have to say there's a lot to take in and a lot of assistance when needed. But for now, it's more about learning the basics and getting familiar with all I need to get started. I will make an attempt to keep posting on progress and further thoughts about my venture here.
