Your answer might just be in a book
Reading has its place and it is an activity that should never be overlooked. I am coming from an age where my sisters and I used to go to the library and enjoy reading time at home.
Years ago, when my life was in a spin, and when all the places I thought I could find what I was looking for didn't help, I felt let down. Then one day while walking in a bookstore and saw a book that had almost the exact title of what was bothering me.
When I bought the book and took it home, I was shocked to know that someone had gone through almost the same journey and had taken the time to sit down and explain everything in vivid detail and with words that made me understand and eventually heal.
The value I got was , not only in the information in the book, but also in the habit I developed of coming apart and having a quiet time drinking up what I needed. It was so intimate. Just me and my book.
With all the video technology around, I still find time to sit and read a book. In fact I have authored and had published 2 books with the intention of helping people heal their own lives.

I too find reading books to be an important part of the day for me. Often I find answers to questions in a most unexpected place. In a character in a James Patterson novel. Next time it could be an answer to a writing question in a Bible Study book on a completely different and unrelated subject.
Often the positive quotes that really hit home are in my cookbook. I can't afford to miss an important secret message by ignoring reading. I have come to understand these words- 'When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."
