Hello WA,

As a newbie in internet marketing, I was unaware of landing page which I heard a long before but could not really grasp the benefits of this thrilling add on in wordpress.

Landing page

It is basically meant to represent the website to make traffic into a specific page that we can turn into sale or a lead. In most cases, this is about getting them to subscribe to an email list, click a specific link or button, buy a product, or perform some kind of social media related activity. In nutshell, it will direct the new visitor immediately through some marketing process on your word press website.

Elements that make a good landing page in wordpress

. Simple structure with minimal design

. No sidebars. Sidebars make the design distracting

. No footer

. Minimal header. so the visitor can get straight to the copy

. Use the logo as un-clickable

As a non programming skilled person, I had to search through some free plugins to make landing page in wordpress. If you want to use a quick solution and don't care about coding to optimize the page, then plugins are there for your rescue!.

That being said, there's not much free stuff out there. The only free and functional plugin I could find there is https://wordpress.org/plugins/landing-pages/
